Abstract
La corrupcion es la causante del deterioro social que vive Colombia. Guerrilla, paramilitarismo, delincuencia comun, son solo algunos de los efectos que van ligados a este flagelo. Su poder es tan grande, que ha logrado penetrar hasta lo mas profundo de los diferentes sectores sociales, siendo el publico el mas acentuado.La impunidad es la fuente de la corrupcion en el pais debido a la inoperancia de la justicia, especialmente por la falta de contundencia de las pruebas aportadas en los tribunales. Para lo anterior la justicia debe hacer uso de una herramienta importante como la Auditoria Forense, que, en paises como los Estados Unidos, Canada y el Reino Unido, ha sido eficiente y eficaz en la lucha contra esta problematica.El contador esta llamado a participar activamente en este proceso, poniendo todo su capacidad intelectual para auscultar y abrirse paso en nuevos escenario como los que ofrece la Auditoria Forense, toda vez que le puede ayudar a la justicia desempenandose como perito, consultor o como testigo experto para definir asuntos meramente tecnicos que se escapa al conocimiento de un juez.
