Abstract
El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la aportación que ha realizado la población inmigrante en términos económicos y demográficos en la Comunidad Autónoma del País Vasco, así como determinar cuál ha sido el impacto de la crisis en dicha aportación. El estudio se basa en una metodología cuantitativa aplicada a la explotación de datos oficiales de los años 2008 y 2012. A través del análisis de diferentes variables, hemos estimado la aportación que la población inmigrante realiza a la hacienda pública y el gasto que representan en el gasto social. También hemos analizado su impacto en la estructura demográfica. Los resultados reflejan cómo la inmigración aporta más de lo que recibe de los diferentes servicios del sistema de bienestar y que el impacto sobre la estructura demográfica ha sido positivo.
