A CASI UN SIGLO DE LABOR, EL CENTRO DE ENSENANZA PARA EXTRANJEROS (CEPE) HA EXTENDIDO SU PRESENCIA A ONCE SEDES EN EL EXTRANJERO: CINCO EN ESTADOS UNIDOS (SAN ANTONIO, CHICAGO, SEATTLE, LOS ANGELES Y TUCSON), UNA EN GATINEAU, CANADA, ASI COMO EN COSTA RICA, CHINA, FRANCIA, ESPANA E INGLATERRA. ADEMAS, DOS EN MEXICO (TAXCO, GUERRERO, Y EN POLANCO, COLONIA DE LA CIUDAD DE MEXICO). PARA CELEBRAR EL 95 ANIVERSARIO, PROFESORES, DIRECTIVOS Y ALUMNOS DECIDIERON ORGANIZAR UN PROGRAMA QUE SE DESARROLLA DESDE PRINCIPIOS DE 2016. FUE EN LA INAUGURACION DE LOS CURSOS DE VERANO DE 1921, PLANEADOS POR EL ENTONCES RECTOR JOSE VASCONCELOS, QUE COMENZO LA LABOR DEL CEPE, CENTRADA EN LA ENSENANZA DE LA LENGUA ESPANOLA Y LA DIFUSION DE LA CULTURA DE MEXICO. DESDE ENTONCES, BAJO LA COBERTURA ACADEMICA DE LA FACULTAD DE FILOSOFIA Y LETRAS HA REALIZADO SU MISION CULTURAL.
