Abstract
RESUMO: O presente trabalho teve como objetivo relatar um caso de mastocitoma, e descrever os processos patologicos encontrados no animal durante o exame necroscopico. Deu entrada no Hospital Veterinario da FAFRAM uma cadela, labrador 32 kg, 8 anos de idade, com anorexia e prostracao de 2 a 3 dias. Apos o exame clinico constatou que o animal estava com febre (40°C), ofegante e presenca de um nodulo que de acordo com o proprietario ja existia ha mais de um ano na regiao escapular e inguinal, mas que apresentou aumento consideravel, juntamente com dor e claudicacao. Realizou-se no animal exames complementares e, como a suspeita clinica era uma neoplasia em escapula, realizou-se citologia aspirativa por agulha fina (CAAF), sugerindo o diagnostico de mastocitoma, confirmado pela analise histopatologica. O animal foi submetido a sessoes de quimioterapia, mas apos 4 dias de tratamento o animal evolui a obito e encaminhado para avaliacao anatomopatologica.
