Este texto presenta el estudio del caso del sitio en línea Graffici.ca nacido en 2011 en la Gaspésie, una región de la provincia de Quebec, en el extremo oriental de Canadá. Se sustenta en una observación participante de dos años y medio, tiempo en el que este sitio se formó a partir de una movilización para crear una herramienta orientada al desarrollo de este territorio. Este proyecto surgió con base en el imaginario sobre el “servicio público”, que ha dominado la reflexión sobre el periodismo a fines del siglo XX. Este caso es un ejemplo de la disloca- ción del binomio histórico territorio-medios que está en curso bajo el impacto de los medios transterritoriales, principalmente la televisión satelital y el internet. El estudio concluye explicando que Graffici.ca, a pesar de su intención de dirigirse sólo a la comunidad gaspesiana, se ha posicionado como un servicio público de información, no especializado, entre los demás medios de la Gaspésie (traducción de Salvador De León Vázquez).
