O PNAE e o programa mais antigo do pais na area de Seguranca Alimentar e Nutricional, sendo uma politica publica presente ha mais de 50 anos no Brasil, representando um dos maiores programas de alimentacao e nutricao do mundo. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar as modifica- coes realizadas no PNAE, nas publicacoes das versoes dos anos de 2009 e 2011. Trata-se de uma revisao bibliografica dos documentos publicados pelo Ministerio da Educacao (MEC), alem de busca de artigos e outros documentos oficiais. Como principais modificacoes, foram encontradas alteracoes referentes ao valor do per capita repassado aos municipios para aquisicao de alimentos, bem como alteracoes no quadro tecnico de funcionarios envolvidos no programa. Conclui-se que apesar de poucas, as mudancas foram importantes, e se faz necessaria toda atencao ao desenvolvimento e crescimento deste programa, uma vez que seu principal objetivo e contribuir para a melhoria da aprendizagem e desenvolvimento saudavel na infância.
