La recherche a pris une place croissante dans la carriere des professeurs d’universite au cours des dernieres decennies qui ont ete aussi caracterisees par le developpement d’organismes subventionnaires ayant pour objectif de financer une partie de ces recherches. Dans le cadre de ce texte, nous cherchons a mettre en evidence les caracteristiques de la recherche financee et a voir quels sont les liens entre celle-ci et les pratiques de recherche des professeurs au sein de l’institution universitaire dans le contexte neoliberal. Au-dela de ces elements d’analyse, nous nous interrogeons au sujet d’un eventuel nouveau recul du savoir critique
