Abstract
Les professionnels de la santé du Canada font face à plusieurs défis afin d’accéder à l’information. Pour prendre soin des patients, ils doivent choisir et assimiler de l’information provenant de sources disparates. Grâce à un réseau coordonné qui tirera parti des ressources et des services des bibliothèques de la santé déjà en place, la Bibliothèque virtuelle canadienne de la santé (BVCS) assurera à tous les professionnels de la santé du pays un accès efficace aux meilleures données factuelles disponibles pour prendre de décisions cliniques. De plus, les professionnels profiteront de l’expertise des bibliothèques pour répondre aux questions plus difficiles. Les bibliothèques en profiteront pour améliorer leurs services et bénéficieront de ressources supplémentaires à des coûts réduits. Cet article décrit le projet et fait une mise à jour sur les trois volets de celui-ci.
