Abstract
L’hopital Montfort a double sa taille au cours des dernieres annees, ce qui a eu un enorme impact sur le nombre de nouvelles ordonnances recues en pharmacie. Notre departement avait de la difficulte a faire face a cette charge de travail accrue et a faire l’envoi de nouveaux medicaments aux unites de soins en temps opportun. L’equipe de pharmacie a utilise certaines techniques dans le cadre d’une demarche lean pour ameliorer son delai d’execution pour une nouvelle ordonnance. En utilisant ces principes, le personnel de la pharmacie de l’hopital Montfort a reussi a diminuer rapidement son temps de traitement d’une nouvelle ordonnance de 47 % en passant d’une moyenne de 2 h 08 a 1 h 21. L’implication du personnel dans ce projet a egalement contribue a reduire les heures supplementaires de 69 %. Il semble que cette approche relativement novatrice au Canada, donne des resultats et a ete utile pour construire une equipe plus forte.
