L e Procs de Franz Kafka est l'une des oeuvres littraires du XX e sicle ayant suscit le plus d'interprtations diffrentes, en raison notamment de sa polysmie, mais aussi de son caractre inachev. Pour certains, le roman dpeint l'atmosphre trange et lourde d'une bureaucratie envahissante, ou encore une forme d'oppression politique. Pour d'autres, l'exprience de Joseph K est comparable l'exprience juive dans un monde antismite, faisant de lui un coupable par dfaut, sans possibilit de fuite. Plus largement, on pourrait y dceler la reprsentation allgorique de la culpabilit mtaphysique d'tre humain.
