Abstract
In Quebec, few sociological studies explore children’s viewpoints to understand their daily life experience, as there are substantial methodological and ethical difficulties to consider. The majority of researchers favor using secondary data for analysis rather than the children’s own words. This paper has a twofold objective: to describe the ethical requirements for Quebec researchers in undertaking qualitative research with children, and to focus on their impact.
