O craveiro, Pimenta pseudoraryophyllus (Gomes) Landrum, é uma espécie arbórea comumente encontrada no Sul do Brasil, principalmente na Floresta Ombrófila Mista, região onde divide o espaço do sub-bosque com diversas outras mirtáceas, lauráceas, qüifoliáceas. Essa espécie é utilizada para extração de óleo essencial e paisagismo, devido às suas características. O trabalho foi desenvolvido no Vivat Floresta Park, Tijucas do Sul, PR, onde se encontram as seis parcelas permanentes do PELD, nas quais foram realizadas as coletas de dados. O principal objetivo foi analisar a regeneração natural do craveiro. Foram encontrados indivíduos de craveiro nas parcelas 1, 2 e 3, sendo que na 3 haviam poucas regenerações naturais (3). Nas parcelas 1 e 2 foram identificadas 90 e 30 regenerações naturais, respectivamente. A alta mortalidade foi evidenciada pela distribuição decrescente, “J” invertido. É possível afirmar que houve ação antrópica na região, pois foi verificada uma baixa freqüência de indivíduos na segunda classe de altura, não seguindo a tendência natural da espécie em estudo. Foi verificada uma proporção semelhante entre indivíduos adultos e jovens nas parcelas 1 e 2 (5,625 e 6,000 respectivamente).
