PM-08 Therapy Experience of Shock Waves of Low Intensity in Patients with Dysfunction Erectile in Canada

Abstract
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common disease,it mostly affects men older than 40 years. Treatment options are wide among which are the extracorporeal shock waves with low intensity (LI-ESWT). The objective of this study is to show the Canadian experience observed in a group of patients receiving LI-ESWT. We included patients with ED with more than 3 months of evolution diagnosed in 2015, of vascular etiology, without hormonal disorders, psychogenic origin and concomitant treatment. It was applied to them a weekly session of 3000 waves, energy of 0, 2mJ for mm2 for 6 weeks. We evaluated the effectiveness of treatment with questionnaires EHS (Erectile Hardness Score), IIFE-5 (international index of erectile function) and Sexual Encounter Profile (SEP), in the last session, at the first month, three and six months after treatment. 118 patients met the selection criteria, the average age was 60.4 years (DE12.9). It was observed a significant increase in the score of the IIEF-5, 1st month (p = 0.002), 3 months (p = 0.001) and 6 months (p = 0.001) of completed treatment, compared with the basal. Regarding the EHS, all measurements showed a significant increase compared to the initial score; Of 95 patients who had no erection (score 0-2) at the beginning, 30 at the end of therapy managed scores 3-4, 23-month, 24-3 months, 20 at 6 months. It was noticed that of 111 patients who before the therapy had no erections durable for a relationship, at the end of 18 treatment changed state, 12 month follow-up, 18 at 3 months and 6 months 19.
