Abstract
Cet article porte sur les enjeux éthiques liés à la communication du patrimoine par le musée. Nous utilisons les métaphores dialectiques du Temple et du Forum (Cameron, 1971) en poursuivant la thèse défendue par Paul Rasse (1999) d’une mutation de l’institution en espace public (Habermas, 1996). Nous avançons l’hypothèse que la diffusion du patrimoine passerait moins par une transmission unilatérale que par la recherche de nouvelles modalités d’interactions, ouvrant à plus de liberté d’action et de parole et engageant davantage de participation chez les publics dans les salles d’exposition, mais aussi chez les communautés1 sur le territoire. L’objectif : faire du musée un lieu plus démocratique. C’est dans cet ordre que nous proposons une analyse de deux concepts théorisant ces nouvelles relations qu’entretient le musée : la contribution, notion issue du modèle de l’interactivité en sociologie des usages (Crenn et Vidal, 2010 ; Vidal, 2012), et la notion de collaboration avec les communautés, les deux C de la médiation éthique en contexte professionnel.
