Pour rendre accessibles les textes du Moyen Âge à un vaste public, notamment scolaire, le point de départ indispensable devrait être une édition critique mais sa traduction littérale ne serait pas satisfaisante tant les conditions de réception de l’oeuvre ont changé. Quels sont les allègements et transpositions indispensables et leurs limites ? Quelles informations complémentaires faudrait-il aussi offrir au lecteur curieux d’en savoir plus ?
