Valores de referência fisiológicos para cães militares : estudo preliminar

Abstract
Caes de emprego militar desempenham importante papel, quer nas atividades militares, quer no emprego da seguranca publica. A literatura e escassa sobre valores de referencia e biomarcadores para caes de trabalho em condicoes climaticas semelhantes as do Brasil. Assim, este trabalho investigou valores de referencia nos resultados de avaliacoes de caes militares realizadas durante prova de trabalho militar, a fim de detectar biomarcadores de condicionamento fisico. Foram utilizados caes do Exercito Brasileiro, da Policia Rodoviaria Federal e do Corpo de Bombeiros Militares de Goias, dos quais 11 sao femeas e 14 machos, das racas Lobo Tchecoslovaco, Pastor Alemao, Pastor Belga e Labrador, entre um e nove anos de idade. Os animais foram submetidos a prova de trabalho, avaliacao clinica, analise de temperatura retal (TR), frequencias respiratoria (FR) e cardiaca (FC) e colheita de sangue (para analise hematologica, bioquimica e dosagem de cortisol) antes (t0), imediatamente apos (t1), e uma hora apos a prova (t2). As medias das variaveis foram comparadas pelo teste T (LSD; p<0,05). A analise de diferencas significativas (p<0,05) so foi constatada para glicoproteina acida alfa 1, cujas taxas eram maiores em femeas. As medias e erros padrao apresentaram os seguintes valores: hematocrito – 47,1±0,9%; leucocitos – 11,6±0,5celulas/mm3; proteinas plasmaticas – 6,9±0,1celulas/ mm3; plaquetas – 274,1±12,5 × 106/mm3; albumina – 3,5±0,1g/ dL; ALT – 41,2±3,9U/L. As variaveis que apresentaram diferenca (p<0,05) entre t0 e t1, respectivamente, foram: FC – 97,6±5,8 vs. 132,6±7,0bpm; FR – 107,8±10,5 vs. 153,8±9,3irpm; TR – 38,5±0,1 vs. 39,4±0,1oC; cortisol – 3,6±0,4 vs. 6,1±0,7 vs. 4,7±2,5μg/dL; AST – 51,7±3,2 vs. 61,7±2,9U/L; e transferrina – 0,1±0,0 vs. 0,03±0,0mg/ dL. Foi observada forte correlacao positiva (0,77; correlacao de Pearson) entre frequencia cardiaca e cortisol, ambos no t1. Os resultados preliminares podem ser utilizados como valores de referencia para caes condicionados fisicamente ao emprego militar, ja que os animais nao demonstraram alteracoes relevantes na maioria das avaliacoes realizadas.
