ELETROACUPUNTURA EM LOMBALGIA CRÔNICA NÃO RADICULAR: DADOS PRELIMINARES

Abstract
INTRODUCAO: A dor lombar e um dos sintomas mais comuns da pratica clinica, ocorrendo em mais de 80% dos individuos em algum momento de suas vidas, e tambem e uma das principais causas de absenteismo ao trabalho nos paises industrializados. Ha anos, o homem vem pesquisando maneiras para aliviar a lombalgia por sua alta prevalencia. Assim, alcancamos varios avancos no campo das modalidades analgesicas, com destaque para os opioides, entre os farmacos, e a estimulacao nervosa eletrica transcutânea (TENS) e a Eletro acupuntura dentre os estimuladores eletricos. OBJETIVO: Com isso, o projeto objetiva avaliar o efeito da Eletroacupuntura e suas vantagens no tratamento da lombalgia inespecifica. METODOLOGIA: Trata-se de um ensaio clinico com distribuicao aleatoria e duplamente encoberto, 50 sujeitos serao igualmente distribuidos em 2 grupos: Eletroacupuntura ( 1) e Eletroacupuntura Placbo (2). Todos os grupos fazem uso de uma cartilha medicamentosa para controle da utilizacao farmacologica. Os sujeitos estao sendo tratados em dias alternados, em 10 sessoes. A seguir, apresentam-se as variaveis de estudo e suas respectivas ferramentas de mensuracao: dor (EVA, McGill, Escala de Catastrofizacao da Dor), limiar de dor por pressao (algometro), limiar sensitivo (filamentos de von Frey), forca muscular (dinamometro), flexibilidade muscular (fleximetro), funcionalidade (Oswestry Disability Index (ODI), Questionario de Incapacidade Roland Morris (QIRM), Escala de Cinesiofobia de Tampa. RESULTADO: Com dados preliminares ainda nao ha um a afirmacao e a devida constatacao estatistica. Contudo, a analise dos 50% dos concludentes nos permite observar uma reducao da intensidade da dor (EVA), limiar de dor por pressao (algometro), limiar sensitivo (filamentos de von Frey), forca muscular (dinamometro), flexibilidade muscular (fleximetro) do grupo Eletroacupuntura em comparacao ao grupo Eletroacupuntura placebo. O diario de medicacao mostra uma reducao de 30% do uso de analgesicos e antiinflamatorios no grupo tratamento. CONCLUSAO: Os resultados ate entao coletados parecem estar em conformidade com os demais presentes na literatura e apontam para um efeito analgesico importante da Eletroacuntura.
