Résumé: La présente étude a pour objectif de vérifier un modèle explicatif d’engagement professionnel des enseignants québécois en prenant comme prédicteurs la fréquence de l’utilisation des nouvelles modalités d’évaluation des apprentissages, les expériences émotionnelles positives et le sentiment de compétence. Un échantillon de 1 205 enseignants québécois du primaire et du secondaire a été choisi à partir d’une base de données extraite d’une étude pancanadienne Les résultats des analyses de parcours ont indiqué que les expériences émotionnelles positives et la fréquence de l’utilisation des nouvelles modalités d’évaluation sont les facteurs qui contribuent le plus à la variabilité de l’engagement professionnel affectif des enseignants. En conclusion, les méthodes contemporaines d’évaluation, tels que la résolution de problèmes et les travaux développés à long terme ainsi que la qualité des interactions produites en classe auprès des élèves sont des aspects qui doivent être considérés par les enseignants et encouragés par les directions d’écoles.
