Specialiste de la jeunesse et des âges de la vie, Cecile Van de Velde est professeure de sociologie a l’Universite de Montreal, titulaire de la chaire de recherche du Canada sur les inegalites sociales et les parcours de vie, et membre de l’Ecole des hautes etudes en sciences sociales (EHESS). Elle a mene des travaux comparatifs sur la jeunesse en Europe avant de s’interesser aux mobilisations des jeunes de ces dernieres annees dans les pays developpes, du « Printemps Erable » au Canada a « Nuit debout » en France. Elle est notamment l’auteur de « Ce qui est source de colere chez les jeunes, c’est de ne pas pouvoir choisir » (AlterEcoPlus, 24 mars 2016), « Les voies de l’autonomie. Les jeunes face a la crise en Europe » (Regards, n° 48, novembre 2015) et d’un ouvrage a paraitre : Coleres. Ce que la jeunesse nous dit de ce monde.
