Abstract
O aparecimento dos implantes ósseointegrados trouxe desenvolvimentopara odontologia, permitindo, por exemplo, a reabilitaçãode pacientes edêntulos totais a partir da utilização depróteses implantossuportadas fixas do tipo Protocolo deBränemark ou prótese de Toronto. Um planejamento adequadoe integrado é fundamental para o sucesso clínico a longoprazo na reabilitação de pacientes edêntulos, bem como astécnicas empregas durante cada etapa clínica. No Brasil aquantidade de desdentados ainda é alta, desta maneira, o presenterelato de caso visa elaborar uma discussão acerca dareabilitação com implantes em uma paciente do gênero feminino,65 anos, que foi reabilitada com 5 implantes inferiores, 6implantes superiores e próteses de Toronto. A paciente procurouatendimento na Universidade Estadual de Maringá, poisqueria melhorar seu sorriso, habilidade de mastigação e fonação.Sendo, então, encaminhada aos serviços das Residênciasem Periodontia e em Prótese Dentária. A partir do resultadodesde tratamento, pode-se concluir que a reabilitação atravésdo protocolo Bränemark é uma alternativa viável desde que atécnica seja executada corretamente para devolução estética efuncional.
