En esta comunicacion breve se plantea como la continuidad entre la produccion de conjeturas y la produccion de la demostracion, conlleva al aprendizaje de la geometria analitica, particularmente la circunferencia. El marco teorico se organizo a la luz de la teoria de la mediacion semiotica y la teoria de la unidad cognitiva, que dan fundamentos a las actividades propuestas en la indagacion; al igual que la relacion entre el metodo sintetico y el metodo analitico donde se concibe a la geometria cartesiana como una relectura de la geometria euclidiana. La experimentacion se realizo con seis estudiantes de grado undecimo en el colegio Fe y Alegria Madre Alberta de la ciudad de Cali, Colombia, y estuvo caracterizada por la etnografia educativa como metodologia de investigacion, y por el ciclo didactico como instrumento de organizacion; fue importante observar, registrar y analizar las producciones orales y escritas de los estudiantes, cuando estos resolvieron las actividades integrando el AGD Cabri Geometre II Plus, destacandose que los argumentos generados por los estudiantes estan fuertemente arraigados a la validacion empirica que brinda el AGD.
