Changements sémantiques sous l’influence de l’anglais : le cas de quatre « emprunts de sens » en français au Québec (1992–2012)

Abstract
Rsum Cette communication porte sur l'utilisation de quatre mots (alternative, opportunit, supporter, versatile) dont certaines acceptions sont considres comme des emprunts de sens l'anglais en franais au Qubec et qui ont pour caractristique commune d'entrer en conflit, au plan axiologique, avec les acceptions franaises des mmes mots. L'analyse comparative d'un corpus lexicographique (1880-2013) et de deux corpus qubcois de franais crit (1992-2012) permet de montrer que les sens marqus comme anglais constituent les usages les plus frquents de trois de ces mots. Les processus de changement smantique qui permettent ces sens de faire sens malgr l'ambigut introduite par l'opposition axiologique sont divers, mais signalent tous que les sens anglais ne sont pas si trangers qu'ils le semblent de prime abord. L'adquation des quivalents intralinguaux solution, occasion, appuyer et polyvalent est rvalue au regard des rsultats de l'analyse.
