\nSemaglutid ist ein GLP-1 Analogon zur Behandlung des Typ 2 Diabetes (T2D). SUSTAIN 6 war eine kardiovaskuläre (CV) Endpunktstudie bei 3.297 Erwachsenen mit T2D und hohem CV Risiko. Semaglutid (0,5 oder 1,0 mg) s.c. zusätzlich zu Standardbehandlung führte zu einer signifikanten 26% Reduktion (Hazard Ratio [HR] 0,74; 95% Konfidenzintervall [CI] 0,58 – 0,95) des Risikos für ein primäres Ereignis des Endpunkts (CV Tod, nicht-tödlicher Myokardinfarkt [MI], nicht-tödlicher Schlaganfall) vs. Placebo, bedingt durch Reduktionen des Risikos für nicht-tödlichen MI (26%; HR 0,74; 95% CI 0,51 – 1,08) und nicht-tödlichen Schlaganfall (39%; HR 0,61; 95% CI 0,38 – 0,99).
