espanolActualmente son numerosas las repercusiones que se desarrollan en nuestra sociedad a causa de la inactividad fisica y el desarrollo de habitos no saludables, entre ellas la obesidad. En este estudio realizado en el C.E.I.P San Isidro Labrador de La Malaha (Granada) se senalaron como objetivos la determinacion de niveles de obesidad en los escolares y establecimiento de posibles relaciones entre las variables de obesidad, genero y habitos alimenticios. Participaron un total de 95 escolares de edad entre 7 y 12 anos. Respecto a los resultados obtenidos se determino un 21,1% de obesidad (sobrepeso y obesidad) en los escolares y ninguna relacion significativa entre las variables. Como principal conclusion, no se determino correspondencia entre el indice de obesidad y los habitos alimenticios en la muestra estudiada. EnglishNowadays, there are many effects that are developed in our society due to physical inactivity and the development of unhealthy habits, such as obesity. In this research, which was performed in “C.E.I.P San Isidro Labrador of La Malaha (Granada), were identified as objectives to determinate the levels of obesity in schoolchildren and to establish possible relationships with others variables like obesity, gender or eating habits. The research was attended by 95 schoolchildren aged 7 to 12 years old. The results showed that there was a 21.1% of obesity (overweight and obesity) in schoolchildren and the lack of significant relationships between the variables. As a main conclusion, it was not determined relation between obesity index and eating habits in the sample studied.
