Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A An na ah h t ta ar r K Ke e l li i m me e l le er r: : Diz; osteoartrit; pulse elektromanyetik alan; TENS A AB BS S T TR RA AC CT T O Ob bj je ec ct ti iv ve e: : To compare the effects of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) versus pulse electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapies, when applied in addition to the superficial heat and diathermy treatments, on pain and functionality in patients diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis.M Ma at te er ri ia al l a an nd d M Me et th ho od ds s: : Forty-eight patients with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis were included in the study.Patients were randomly assigned into TENS (n=24) and PEMF (n=24) using a closed envelope method. The first group received 100 Hz frequency of TENS treatment for 30 min/session.The second group received 50 Hz frequency and 60 microtesla intensity of PEMF treatment for 24 min/session.Both groups received superficial heat (hot pack, based on the hot tolerance 20 min/session) and diathermy (ultrasound, 1.5 W/cm 2 and 6 min/session) treatments in one session daily for 5 days a week.Evaluations were performed at the beginning and at the end of the treatments.Visual analoguescale (VAS; 0-100), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and Lequesne Scale were used as outcome measurements.R Re es su ul lt ts s: : In both groups, VAS, WOMAC index and Lequesne scale scores improved after the treatment (p<0.05).When the pre and post treatment changes were compare between TENS and PEMF groups, VAS (p=0.109),WOMAC (p=0.427) and Lequesne (p=0.264)scores were similar to each other.C Co on nc cl lu us si io on n: : The results of the current study demonstrated that both TENS and PEMF treatments were effective for ameliorating the osteoarthritis symptoms when applied in addition to the conventional therapies. The results also indicated that both TENS and PEMF treatments displayed similar effects.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
