La prévention de la consommation problématique de substances psychoactives est importante auprès des adolescents puisqu’il s’agit d’une période propice aux premières expériences. Il est d’autant plus important d’offrir des programmes aux jeunes en difficulté puisqu’ils sont plus susceptibles d’avoir une consommation à risque et de devenir dépendants. L’objet de ce mémoire consiste à décrire l’implantation et identifier les effets perçus du pilote du Groupe de réflexion sur les drogues (2e génération) (GRD), un programme novateur de prévention ciblé-indiquée chez les jeunes ayant une consommation problématique ou à risque de le devenir. L’échantillon comprend quatre adolescents placés dans deux des unités de réadaptation du Centre jeunesse de Montréal – Institut universitaire ainsi que deux éducateurs ayant animé le programme. Des journaux de bord, un questionnaire et des entrevues individuelles ont permis de collecter les données. Des analyses quantitatives descriptives et une analyse thématique qualitative ont été effectuées. Dans l’ensemble, les résultats montrent que le GRD a été implanté comme prévu et que les adolescents ont bénéficié des interventions prévues au guide d’animation. Plus spécifiquement, les résultats montrent des effets possibles, particulièrement au niveau de l’augmentation de la motivation à changer, la modification des habitudes de consommation, l’apprentissage de nouvelles connaissances sur les substances psychoactives et l’adoption de stratégies comportementales de protection.
