The Petroleum Prospectivity of the Central Ridge to Flemish Cap Region, Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Summary Offshore Newfoundland and Labrador has become an area of interest for the petroleum exploration community over the last number of years, with landsale activity, exploration wells drilled and increased seismic acquisition. The area of focus for this study is along the southern trend of the Flemish Pass Basin, where a lot of this activity has been focused. The focus is on the petroleum prospectivity of the Central Ridge to the Flemish Cap area and will define the potential for source, reservoir, trap and seal. This is an underexplored area adjacent to the prolific Jeanne d’Arc Basin where oil and gas production has been ongoing for a number of years. Acquisition of recent extensive, modern 2D long offset broadband seismic data throughout the region has been conducted on a 5 km by 5 km grid. Interpretation of this data has allowed seismic correlations to be made from proven discoveries into this underexplored area. The presence and distribution of the elements required for an active petroleum system have been identified. This newly acquired data has greatly resolved the extents and internal architecture of the Anson, southern Flemish Pass and Flemish Cap grabens providing further insight to the petroleum potential of the area.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
