Notre recherche s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’enseignement universitaire et plus précisément dans le cadre du Certificat d’Aptitude pédagogique approprié à l’Enseignement supérieur (CAPAES) dispensé en Belgique francophone. Il s’agit de tenter de comprendre comment et en quoi le rapport à l’écrit des formateurs universitaires influence la posture d’accompagnement qu’ils proposent à leurs étudiants, que ce soit lors des séminaires consacrés à l’écriture du portfolio certificatif ou lors des entretiens de supervision qu’ils gèrent en face à face avec un étudiant. L’objectif est d’identifier les relations qu’entretiennent les formateurs avec l’écrit(ure) et de voir comment ces relations se traduisent dans l’accompagnement qu’ils proposent aux étudiants. Pour ce faire, la recherche a convoqué plusieurs cadres théoriques dont celui de Leclercq et Oudart (2011) qui ont mis en évidence et documenté trois postures d’accompagnement: normative, dialogique et spéculative. Concernant le champ du rapport à l’écrit, nous nous sommes appuyés sur Blaser (2011) et Barré-de Miniac (2008). La collecte de données s’est réalisée par étapes: entretiens semi-directifs avec les dix accompagnateurs de séminaires, sélection de quatre profils représentatifs de l’ensemble de l’équipe pour un travail complété par l’observation des séminaires, enregistrement d’un entretien de superviseur, lecture de commentaires écrits et interviews finales. Il ressort de l’étude que chaque formateur, inscrit dans un cadre commun, présente des spécificités liées à ses logiques d’accompagnement.
