Latar Belakang: Pada seorang lansia terjadi masalah kesehatan sangatlah rentan karena dengan bertambahnya usia maka terjadi penurunan fungsi struktur tubuh dan juga daya tahan yang menyebabkan timbulnya gangguan penyakit. Salah satu jenis penyakit degeneratif yang banyak menyerang yaitu osteoarthritis lutut. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan strengthening exercise pada TENS terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional osteoarthritis knee pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Eksperimental dengan pre dan post test design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini pasien yang mengalami osteoarthritis knee di Posyandu Lansia Mawar, Sidoarum dengan usia 60-74 tahun dimana kelompok eksperimen 1 berjumlah 6 orang diberikan perlakuan Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) dan kelompok eksperimen 2 berjumlah 6 orang diberikan perlakuan Transcutaneus Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) dan strengthening exercise. Intervensi TENS dilakukan selama 2 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 3 kali seminggu. serta strengthening exercise dilakukan selama 4 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 4 kali seminggu. Alat ukur pada penelitian ini adalah Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis (WOMAC) index. Hasil: Berdasarkan pengujian statistik didapatkan hasil yang signifikan dengan nilai p = 0.000 dimana p < 0.05 yang berarti Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak artinya ada Pengaruh Penambahan strengthening exercise pada TENS terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional osteoarthritis knee pada lansia. Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh penambahan strengthening exercise pada TENS terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional osteoarthritis knee pada lansia. Saran: kepada peneliti selanjutnya, untuk menambah jumlah responden dan memperpanjang waktu penelitian, sehingga diketahui keefektifitasan strengthening exercise dan TENS
