Una somera mirada del discurso crítico literario y cultural reciente pone en evidencia la pluralidad de perspectivas desde las que es utilizada la noción de frontera, junto al flujo migratorio que esta noción evoca. Entre estas aristas se nos presenta de qué manera, tanto la migración interna como el cruce mismo de la línea divisoria geopolítica en una región fronteriza, no solo son elementos que configuran la noción de frontera, sino que la misma coyuntura histórica-política en la que se producen estas migraciones habilita una noción cultural de la frontera, “una metáfora”, en palabras de María-Socorro Tabuenca Córdoba. El espacio fronterizo se convierte, así, en un espacio simbólico en el que quedan subsumidos tanto el límite político como el cultural, poniendo al descubierto las repercusiones políticas y legales de los desplazamientos migratorios, sean estos voluntarios o no, como así también las estrategias textuales y culturales que dan lugar a la apropiación discursiva de “lo fronterizo” en producciones culturales surgidas en condiciones de frontera. Dinámica propia que habilita negociaciones múltiples, desde donde se puja por el derecho a expresar discursivamente una crítica, un reclamo o, simplemente, el derecho mismo a la palabra.
