Mise en action de la neutralité chez les enseignants québécois : analyse d’enjeux quotidiens à l’aide de la rationalité communicationnelle chez Habermas

Abstract
Cet article expose la mise en œuvre au quotidien de la neutralité chez les enseignants en contexte québécois. Ses objectifs servent d’abord à mettre en lumière les principes qui fondent l’une des compétences professionnelles attendues des enseignants, particulièrement chargée quant à la question de la neutralité enseignante, pour ensuite observer comment cette dernière s’exécute concrètement dans la pratique enseignante. Nous proposons finalement d’observer les manifestations concrètes de l’application de la neutralité à la lumière de la pensée de Jürgen Habermas, telle qu’inscrite dans sa Théorie de l’agir communicationnel, cadre théorique particulièrement fécond pour envisager comment s'effectue l’exercice de la neutralité enseignante « par le bas ». Ainsi, comment la neutralité apparaît-elle dans l’activité quotidienne enseignante ? Quels sont les enjeux soulevés par cette exigence particulière qui sous-tend des dimensions à la fois prescriptives et communicationnelles ? Telles sont certaines des questions que soumet à l’analyse le présent article.
