Abstract
Les revues ont joue un role de plus en plus central dans la recherche scientifique depuis qu’elles ont vu le jour dans la seconde moitie du XVIIe siecle. Le numerique a fortement impacte ces dernieres, et ont mene la diversification des lieux de publication, a la croissance de l’internationalisation et a l’anglicisation de la science, au ralentissement de l’obsolescence de la litterature scientifique, a la concentration de l’edition savante, ainsi qu’a un acces facilite au savoir scientifique. En reliant ces evolutions recentes a l’histoire longue des revues savantes, il est possible d’apporter un regard critique sur le role de la revue a l’ere numerique sans pour autant sombrer dans les discours alarmistes. Car quoi qu’en disent certains, la revue scientifique n’a jamais ete aussi moderne qu’elle ne l’est aujourd’hui.
