Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

(The article deals with the research devoted to one of the diaspora’s periodicals. The researcher’s attention is focused on the Canadian periodical New Days that is an illustrated monthly edition which has been published in Toronto since 1950. Among the enormous number of materials published on the pages of the periodical there are many articles on the activity of educational and scholarly figures who made a significant contribution into the development of the Ukraine culture both in Ukraine and abroad. This research considers New Days’ articles as an important source to study the history of the Ukrainians abroad. The author analyses the rrole of the periodical in preserving the memory of outstanding activists and in supporting national self-identification process inside the Ukrainian communities of Canada and the USA.)

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
