Abstract
Jacob a 17 ans. C’est un jeune homme doue, equilibre, bienveillant, entoure d’une famille aimante, sans histoire. Avec son meilleur ami Zack, il vit une adolescence doree. L’avenir lui sourit. D’autant plus qu’il semble avoir enfin attire l’attention de la belle Jennifer ! Cette derniere, que Zack voit comme une menace, semble bien s’amuser avec Jacob, qu’elle mene au doigt et a l’oeil. Jusqu’ou ira-t-il pour lui plaire ? Loin. Trop loin. Car un bon soir, elle l’incite a faire des experiences avec des substances qui, jusque-la, n’avaient jamais ete du moindre interet pour le jeune homme. Son meilleur ami est furieux, d’autant plus que c’est avec la voiture de Jacob qu’ils sont venus a Quebec… Apres la tragedie, Jacob fait face a une culpabilite innommable que sa famille tente d’alleger de son mieux. L’aide de ses parents, de sa grand-mere, de son parrain et de sa jeune soeur suffira-t-elle a sauver le jeune homme ? Les effets sur la famille entiere auront-ils raison de son amour naissant ?
