Abstract
Le présent mémoire rend compte de l'évolution du français québécois en terre d'Amérique et son objet d'étude porte essentiellement sur la description de son niveau standard, dont l'existence, bien que reconnue par de nombreux linguistes, ne s'appuie, jusqu'à ce jour, que sur des descriptions parcellaires et incomplètes. L'atteinte des objectifs de cette recherche, à savoir relever des marqueurs, c'est-à-dire des particularités, des formes, des sens, des connotations et des référents propres au français québécois standard, ainsi que dresser une typologie de ces marqueurs, s'appuie sur une méthodologie originale qui tire son essence d'une grille d'analyse préétablie élaborée dans le cadre de cette recherche. L'application de la grille d'analyse à un corpus d'analyse de 50 000 mots constitué de vingt mémoires de la Commission sur l'avenir politique et constitutionnel du Québec (Commission Bélanger-Campeau) a révélé la présence de marqueurs sous la forme de mots simples ou composés, de collocations, de cooccurrents et d'expressions, qui se subdivisent en marqueurs apparents, puisque facilement repérables et non apparents, parce que seule une analyse en profondeur permet de les qualifier de marqueur."--Résumé abrégé par UMI
