Les enfants presentant un Trouble developpemental de la coordination (TDC) rencontrent des difficultes dans la realisation d’actes moteurs. Ils sont frequemment orientes vers les ergothera-peutes dans le but de travailler certaines competences liees a la scolarite. L’approche CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) a ete developpee par une equipe de recherche en ergotherapie canadienne pour permettre a ces enfants de gagner en habilete dans l’ensemble de leurs activites. Cette approche centree sur la personne utilise la decouverte guidee pour permettre le developpement des performances motrices en mettant en place des strategies personnalisees. La personne est alors invitee a travailler dans une demarche de resolution de probleme, qui sera potentiellement transferable aux autres activites du quotidien. Ce travail de recherche analyse l’interet de l’approche CO-OP dans l’accompagnement ergothe-rapique des enfants presentant un TDC. Les concepts cles sont presentes a travers une large revue de litterature internationale. Un recueil de donnees complementaires est realise a partir d’un questionnaire a destination des ergotherapeutes francais formes a CO-OP, et complete par une analyse de situations de stage. Les resultats obtenus permettent de comprendre la pratique de terrain mise en place par les professionnels, en particulier lorsque ceux-ci interviennent dans un accompagnement a la scolarite. Le croisement des donnees permet d’affirmer la pertinence de CO-OP dans l’accompagnement a la manipulation d’outils scolaires et de proposer un outil pilote specifique (TOUCS) facilitant l’auto-determination des objectifs lies a la scolarite.
