A pesquisa objetivou responder as seguintes questoes: a contratacao de professores universitarios por tempo determinado pela administracao publica, e um assunto que esta sendo abordado pela comunidade academico- cientifica? No cenario de uma sociedade capitalista globalizada, Laval (2011) evidencia a existencia de uma escola cuja pratica pedagogica esteja em consonância com as exigencias do neoliberalismo, e neste contexto: o professor contratado por tempo determinado constitui um exemplo de trabalhador precarizado e flexivel? Existem indicios de praticas precarizantes na legislacao que regulamenta a contratacao e atuacao dos professores temporarios nas universidades publicas brasileiras? Como se comportam as normas a este respeito? Realizou-se uma abordagem multimetodologica, com revisao integrativa de trabalhos na base de dados da CAPES, analise quantitativa e qualitativa de relatorios de carga horaria docente, documentos normativos e reguladores da atuacao dos professores temporarios. As organizacoes de ensino estudadas foram: Universidade Federal de Goias; Universidade Estadual de Goias e Universidade de Rio Verde. Verificou-se que a producao academico-cientifica strictu sensu a respeito do tema, no Estado de Goias, e incipiente e que, portanto, deve ser fomentada. Ademais, foram identificados indicios de praticas precarizantes e flexibilizadoras das relacoes de trabalho e emprego do docente temporario nas Universidades investigadas, com base nos relatorios de carga horaria e na legislacao que regulamenta tais relacoes.
