Bien que la didactique de l’oral connaisse une certaine effervescence et que son intégration dans le milieu scolaire soit facilitée par l’importance accrue que lui accorde le plus récent renouveau pédagogique, nous constatons que l’inconfort lié à l’enseignement et à l’évaluation de l’oral chez les enseignants du secondaire persiste toujours. Si, d’une part, les règles régissant les productions orales sont moins nombreuses et précises qu’à l’écrit, une autre problématique bien particulière complique davantage la situation : le statut du français québécois. En approfondissant les notions de norme lingustique, d’enseignement et d’évaluation de l’oral ainsi qu’en définissant des usages caractéristiques du français québécois, nous comptions poser les jalons qui nous permettront de mener notre étude de cas auprès d’enseignants de français du secondaire. Nous pouvons ainsi connaître la façon dont nos répondants enseignent et évaluent cette variété de langue, ainsi que la manière dont ils interviennent auprès de leurs élèves concernant l’usage de celle-ci.
