Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

We report on the observation of a microsecond isomeric state in the single-proton-hole, three-neutron-particle nucleus $^{134}\mathrm{In}$. The nuclei of interest were produced by in-flight fission of a $^{238}\mathrm{U}$ beam at the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory at RIKEN. The isomer depopulates through a $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ ray of energy 56.7(1) keV and with a half-life of ${T}_{1/2}=3.5(4)\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\mu}\mathrm{s}$. Based on the comparison with shell-model calculations, we interpret the isomer as the ${I}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={5}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ member of the $\ensuremath{\pi}0{g}_{9/2}^{\ensuremath{-}1}\ensuremath{\bigotimes}\ensuremath{\nu}1{f}_{7/2}^{3}$ multiplet, decaying to the ${I}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={7}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ ground state with a reduced-transition probability of $B(E2;{5}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{7}^{\ensuremath{-}})=0.53(6)\phantom{\rule{0.28em}{0ex}}\mathrm{W}.\mathrm{u}.$ Observation of this isomer, and lack of evidence in the current work for a ${I}^{\ensuremath{\pi}}={5}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ isomer decay in $^{132}\mathrm{In}$, provides a benchmark of the proton-neutron interaction in the region of the nuclear chart ``southeast'' of $^{132}\mathrm{Sn}$, where experimental information on excited states is sparse.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
