Abstract

Cette étude décrit la pratique d’activités physiques (PAP) d’élèves (N =98) qui ont participé à un Pentathlon en équipe, un programme qui vise à les aider à « adopter un mode de vie sain et actif ». Une analyse de la PAP a été effectuée pour identifier les différences de pratique selon le temps de l’intervention, soit pendant et après l’implantation du programme. Le recueil de données des épisodes de PAP a été réalisé sur huit semaines (T1), durée prévue au protocole d’implantation du Pentathlon, puis sur trois semaines après la fin du programme (T2). Des informations ont été recueillies sur cinq paramètres de la PAP (volume de PAP, durée, intensité, fréquence et diversité des activités). Les résultats révèlent une diminution importante de la PAP des participants entre la période d’implantation du Pentathlon (T1) et la période post-implantation (T2). Toutefois, la majorité des élèves se maintiennent actifs au-delà de la durée du programme et ces éléments ont permis de préciser l’effet à court terme du Pentathlon qui vise le développement d’une gestion autonome de la PAP chez les jeunes.
