Preliminary bedrock geochemistry and drift prospecting results from the Committee Bay North Project (NTS 56N and 56-O/North), mainland Nunavut
Bibliographic record
Abstract
In collaboration with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) and the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), the Canada-Nunavut Geoscience Office (CNGO) initiated the Committee Bay North Project in the Darby LakeArrowsmith River NTS map areas in 2004. The study area lies southwest of Pelly Bay and southeast of Chantrey Inlet in central mainland Nunavut (Figure 1), south of the community of Taloyoak. This critical area was selected to bridge the geoscience gap between the Committee Bay supracrustal belt to the south and the poorly documented Barclay supracrustal belt to the north (Figure 2). A regional-scale till sampling program and ice-movement study were also undertaken. The Committee Bay North Project will contribute to framework mapping and geoscience knowledge of Nunavut through the following outputs: 1) three new 1:100 000-scale geologic maps; 2) digital compilation of all available geophysical and remotely sensed datasets; 3) digital release of all subsidiary datasets, including those derived from surficial, geochronological, petrological and structural studies; and 4) progress reports and/or presentations to be given at appropriate geoscience meetings. This open file report presents the results from the bedrock and till sampling programs.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
