Estamos viviendo, en palabras de Todorov, un enfrentamiento entre el neoliberalismo y la democracia. Ante este conflicto profundo que esta socavando los pilares de la legitimidad de la democracia representativa, el articulo tiene por objetivo presentar, de manera exploratoria, unas primeras notas sobre que y como podrian ser las escuelas democraticas en comun. Para hacerlo, se entronca con la corriente de pensamiento que, desde Dewey ha remarcado la necesidad de que las escuelas eduquen en, por y sobre la democracia. Hoy, la necesidad de escuelas democraticas es mas viva que nunca y el principal resultado de este articulo, es la propuesta de construirlas a partir de practicas comunitzantes. Fueron Bollier (2014) y Laval y Dardot (2015) los que propusieron transformar “comun” como adjetivo (bien comun) a verbo: comunizar (commoning). El articulo, a partir del modelo analitico de Foucault (saber, poder, subjetividad), explora que podria ser una escuela democratica basada en practicas comunizantes en relacion con que (no) es una escuela (verdad); como deberia ser gobernada (poder); y que tipo de identidad deberia producir (sujeto). Con esta propuesta de escuela democratica en comun se busca plantear nuevos caminos para construir espacios de educacion que transformen el saber, las relaciones de poder y las identidades en la linea de la democracia y el bien comun.
