de Araujo & Pedro de Albuquerque Xavier ensino do design, extensão universitária, expografia O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre a experiência técnico-educativa para o campo do design expográfico, procedida através de uma prática de extensão universitária realizada por professores, profissional e estudantes do Departamento de Design da UFPE em parceria com profissionais do Museu da Abolição/Recife, em torno do projeto de design da exposição 'Memorial do Museu da Abolição: Sobrado Grande da Madalena.'Na metodologia, privilegiou-se o registro e análise de dados qualitativos relativos às diferentes etapas do processo de planejamento e da produção das peças expográficas, desde a identificação do problema projetual em toda a sua complexidade até a materialização do resultadodo final, destacando-se a construção da identidade visual, dos painéis gráficos e do layout expográfico.No projeto, bem como na análise aqui proposta, foram usados conceitos de planejamento e organização da informação visual e a ideia de estilo em propostas expográficas, oriundos dos campos do design gráfico e da museologia, respectivamente.Estes conceitos teóricos foram instrumentalizados problematizando-se a construção do partido projetual e a compreensibilidade da informação histórica para diferentes camadas do público do MAB.A experiência é apreciada como espaço de oportunidade de aprendizado para os envolvidos. design education, university extension, expographyThis article aims to reflect on a technical and educational experience in the field of expographic design.This experience was carried out through a university extension project involving a UFPE Design Department team in partnership with professionals from the Museu da Abolição-Recife, to design the exhibition entitled Memorial do Museu da Abolição: Sobrado Grande da Madalena.In the methodology, priority was given to the recording and analysis of qualitative data related to the different stages of the planning process and the production of the samples, from the identification of the design problem in all its complexity to the materialization of the final result, highlighting the design of the visual identity, graphic panels and expographic layout.The project, as well as the analysis proposed here, explored concepts of planning and organization of visual information and the idea of exhibition styles, from the information design and museology areas, respectively.These theoretical concepts enabled the construction of the design project and the understanding of the historical information for MAB's different types of audiences.Experience is appreciated as a space of learning opportunity for those involved.
