Abstract
En annu forbisedd och relativt oetablerad aktor i Sveriges offentliga rum ar de urbana odlingsinitiativen. Den av stadsinvanarna initierade odlingen utforskar hallbara handlingsmonster, och skapar en plattform dar medborgaren tillats samla sina kunskaper och asikter om det offentliga rummet. Genom att undersoka hur dessa odlingsgrupper samarbetar med kommunen, vill jag utreda hur detta samarbete kan utvecklas till en lokal demokrati. Syftet med denna uppsats ar att undersoka hur dessa odlingsinitiativ kan anvandas som en resurs vid stadsplanering. Uppsatsen ger en overgripande inblick i dialogen och samarbetet mellan kommunala tjansteman och tva lokala odlingsinitiativ i Uppsala. For att undersoka vilka forutsattningar ett samarbete har, och hur detta gestaltar sig har litteratursokningar i amnet utforts. Intervjuer med initiativtagarna for de urbana odlingsgrupperna, samt intervju med Uppsalas park- och driftschef har genomforts. Resultatet av litteraturstudien ger en delad bild av anvandning av de urbana odlingsinitiativen i Sverige. Odlingsgrupperna har en pavisbar nytta vid utvecklandet av lokala demokratier, och aven som resurs vid statsutvecklingen. Mina intervjuer visar en bild av Uppsala dar tjanstemannens installning till odlingsgrupperna ar positiv, och ger grupperna stod i form av vissa praktiska resurser. Odlingsinitiativen saknar dock finansiellt stod, och detta hammar deras verksamhet och mojlighet att utveckla full potential. De slutsatser jag drar i uppsatsen ar att odlingsinitiativen har forutsattningar for att pa flera plan vara en resurs att tillga vid stadsplaneringen. Jag har dock inte funnit nagra exempel som pavisar anvandandet av odlingsinitiativen i arbetet med lokala demokratier, dar medlemmarnas asikter beaktas i sarskild mening, och ges uttryck till exempel i beslutsprocessen. Anledningarna kan tankas vara manga, och jag har hittat nagra tankbara faktorer som paverkar detta i mitt arbete. Daremot ar samarbetet med odlingsinitiativen som praktisk resurs mer utvecklat i andra delar av landet, bland annat i Malmo.
