A inclusao escolar de alunos com deficiencia intelectual nas salas de ensino comum tem sido motivo de preocupacao para os professores que encontram dificuldades para atuar neste contexto, resultando em questionamentos sobre suas praticas-pedagogicas, assim, como sua formacao. Com intuito de demonstrar a esse profissional producoes cientificas que podem colaborar com o entendimento da inclusao escolar, este estudo teve como objetivo fazer um mapeamento das producoes cientificas, no periodo de 2007 a 2017, no âmbito da formacao continuada do professor, a partir da teoria historico-cultural. Tendo como ponto de partida a questao: De que forma a teoria historico-cultural pode contribuir para a formacao continuada de professores que trabalham com esses alunos, na perspectiva inclusiva? A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de estudo bibliografico de carater qualitativo, e a coleta de dados foi realizada no Banco de Dados Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), por meio de quatro combinacoes dos seguintes descritores: “historico-cultural”, “formacao de professores” e “deficiencia intelectual”, o que nos permitiu encontrar 16 artigos. Foram lidos os resumos e, quando necessario, lidos integralmente.  Os resultados nos permitiram afirmar que as contribuicoes de Vygotski corroboram o principio da inclusao ao fundamentar a pratica educativa dos professores, permitindo ressignificacao de concepcoes e praticas pedagogicas que muitas vezes aparecem como tensao quando pensamos em diferencas e praticas excludentes.
