Abstract
À partir de trois recueils de poèmes de l’auteur Serge Patrice Thibodeau, nous proposons d’explorer la tension entre le local/l’intime et l’ailleurs/l’universel. La question qui nous intéresse particulièrement est de savoir si elle instaure une déchirure entre l’ici et le monde ou, comme le laisse entrevoir Patrick Chamoiseau, si elle contribue à briser les centralisations de l’Unicité au profit des langues et des cultures effacées par la langue et la culture. Si tel est le cas, la territorialité rendue floue chez Thibodeau proposerait à l’Acadien de faire de l’errance un acte volontaire auquel le sujet — autant celui qui voyage et que celui qui écrit — est libre de mettre fin selon son gré. Surgit alors une oscillation entre le particulier et l’universel à l’intérieur même de l’expérience de la marginalité acadienne, basée sur une errance non plus in-dé-terminée. Cette oscillation aurait comme conséquence d’ouvrir les frontières de l’Acadie, un pays qui n’existe pas, pour en faire un pays-monde ( Le Bris 2007 , 24), et de faire de l’identité acadienne une identité-monde ( Le Bris et Rouaud 2010 ), à rebours des expansions coloniales.
