Abstract

Objetivo. Apresentar a versão em Português-Brasil do Timed “Up and Go” Assessment of Biomechanical Strategies (TUG-ABS), instrumento para avaliação clínica da mobilidade funcional de indivíduos com he­miparesia pós Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), e investigar a sua validade de construto considerando a perspectiva de fisioterapeutas brasileiros da área neurofuncional. Método. Onze fisioterapeutas si­mularam o uso clínico do TUG-ABS com os seus pacientes e res­ponderam a um questionário aberto com questões essenciais para se determinar a validade de construto por métodos contemporâneos. Para análise, foi utilizada metodologia qualitativa. Resultados. Os profissionais foram capazes de apontar informações novas e relevantes ao processo de avaliação e de tomada de decisão clínica ao utilizar o TUG-ABS, de descrever interpretações/julgamentos e ou raciocínios clínicos com base na interpretação dos seus resultados e avaliaram de forma positiva o seu sistema de pontuação. Conclusão. O TUG-ABS demonstrou adequada validade de construto sob a perspectiva de fi­sioterapeutas brasileiros. O instrumento forneceu medidas que dão suporte aos pressupostos teóricos a partir dos quais foi desenvolvido e informações relevantes ao processo de avaliação clínica da mobilidade de hemiparéticos pós-AVC. Portanto, foi reconhecido o valor clínico do TUG-ABS para a identificação de estratégias biomecânicas relacio­nadas à mobilidade funcional de indivíduos hemiparéticos pós-AVC.
