Abstract
Mehrere Keramikfunde in Kanada aus dem 17. und 18. Jh. scheinen aus Toulouser Werkstätten zu stammen. Es handelt sich vor allem um kugelförmige Töpfe mit zwei Henkeln und bemalter engobierter Ware. 209 Scherben aus Kanada und Toulouse wurden analysiert (Massenspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma und optisches Spektrometer) um die Herkunft und den Anteil der Toulouser Produktion an der in der ehemaligen Kolonie gefundenen Keramik zu erfassen. In diesem Artikel werden die Resultate dieser Studie für den archäologischen Fundort “ Forteresse de Louisbourg” (île du Cap-Breton, Neuschottland), veröffentlicht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen die Rolle der Garonne im transatlantischen Kolonialhandel und erneuern unsere Kenntnisse über die Organisation der Produktion und den Vertrieb der Toulouser Keramikproduktion.
