Abstract
Objetivo: Avaliar a percepção das práticas sobre prevenção das infecções sexualmente transmissíveis de alunos de uma escola. Métodos: Estudo descritivo e exploratório de corte transversal em adolescentes de ambos os sexos em uma Escola em Belém-Pará, no período de fevereiro à março de 2018, acompanhados pelos acadêmicos de Medicina de uma instituição de Belém-Pará. Foi passado um questionário com perguntas sobre IST’s e Sexualidade, antes e após de uma palestra sobre o tema. Resultados: Dentre os 67 alunos que responderam ao questionário inicial e os 52 que responderam no final das oficinas, observou-se o predomínio do sexo feminino em 64% e 53%, respectivamente. Em relação ao questionamento sobre conhecimento de IST pelos adolescentes no início e ao final da pesquisa, observou-se que 76,12% e 92,31% responderam que conhecem e 23,8% e 7,69% que não, respectivamente, dentre as infecções, analisou-se que no início e no fim houve prevalência doconhecimento sobre gonorreia, HIV/AIDS, sífilis e candidíase, nesta ordem. Quase totalidade da amostra afirmou saber que são transmitidas pelo contato sexual. Conclusão: Depois dos encontros, o tema despertou a atenção dos adolescentes, interessados em participar das discussões. A oficina foi uma oportunidade importante de reflexão e discussão, ampliando o campo de conhecimento. Palavras-chave: Doenças Sexualmente Transmissíveis, Conhecimento, Sexualidade.
