2192-PUB: Treatment Satisfaction in People with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) Receiving Basal Insulin (BI): Results from Real-World Studies and Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) with Insulin Glargine 300 U/mL (Gla-300)
Bibliographic record
Abstract
BI analogs can help optimize glycemic control in people with T2D, but the patients’ satisfaction is key for acceptance and treatment adherence. ACHIEVE, REACH, and REGAIN were open-label real-world studies comparing Gla-300 with standard of care BI (ACHIEVE: insulin glargine 100 U/mL [Gla-100] or insulin detemir [IDet]; REACH and REGAIN: Gla-100, IDet, insulin degludec [IDeg] or neutral protamine Hagedorn). EDITION 1-3 and BRIGHT were open-label RCTs comparing Gla-300 with Gla-100 and IDeg, respectively. All studies were in people with uncontrolled T2D and used the Diabetes Treatment Satisfaction Questionnaire status version (DTSQs; Table). In RCTs and real-world studies, initiating BI in insulin-naïve participants was associated with improved treatment satisfaction after 6 months (ACHIEVE, 12 months) and a reduction in the perceived frequency of hyperglycemia. Perceived hypoglycemia increased slightly from low baseline values. Similar findings were found in patients switching BI, with improved patient satisfaction and reduced perceived frequency of hyperglycemia after 6 months of treatment, and no change in perceived hypoglycemia. Initiating or switching BI in people with uncontrolled T2D can improve patient satisfaction, irrespective of baseline diabetes treatment. Disclosure S.B. Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
